The National Healthy Schools Award is a prestigious achievement. Schools that receive this award meet best practice criteria established by the Alliance’s Healthy Schools Program Expert Panel and outlined in the Healthy Schools Program Framework. While youth tobacco rates have steadily declined in Kent County since 2000, they are still higher than the state average, and rates of electronic devices have started to climb.
